The Willow Gardens

The Willow has a large and tranquil garden backing onto to farmland and countryside. In 2001 The Willow was visited by the crew of BBC Ground Force, Alan Titchmarsh and friends transformed the place into a beautiful area of year round colour and shade. (See Gallery photos)

The Garden is used for many  activities including the annual summer garden party and general outdoor activities.

For those that are able to venture further seating area is located at the very end of the garden, affording superb views over the beautiful Buckinghamshire countryside. Residents can sit and watch the red kites soaring above or the horses graze.

“Thank you for making my stay at The Willow so pleasant and for the lovely (and still blooming) flowers when I left. I miss you all and am so grateful for all the kindly care I received. You have set up an unusual – maybe unique – home, caring, welcoming and friendly.”

“I am very happy living here at The Willow. I had no one before; the carers are lovely to me. They are great human beings. We really appreciate how we are looked after here.”

    D.W, Resident

“It’s absolutely perfect, it’s so lovely. If someone asked me what the best place is, I would say here. I love it, I love it, I love everything about it. The food is lovely and you’re always the same. You’re always trying to make things nice.”

    B.T, Resident

“It is very pleasant here, I enjoy it. The other residents are lovely. I like all the carers. I am very happy.”

    J.C, Resident

“I count my blessings living here. Last night we had the television on and there was community singing. The patients were all singing and following the telly. I’ve never been in a place where the patients were happy and singing. I just hope the Lord spares me so that I can enjoy it.”
